Solar Power is simply electrical current that is generated from the sun, allowing for a much cleaner and more efficient delivery. We all know that solar energy is great for the environment and provides endless amounts of benefits opposed to old school techniques, but not many people really understand the way it works and what is involved in transferring that captured energy into a form of electricity that is suitable for powering your household or business.
Our sun is technically a natural nuclear reactor, meaning it releases an immense amount of microscopic energy cells called Photons, which then embark on there 8 minute journey to earth, travelling roughly 150 million kilometres. Every hour, the sun puts out enough Photons to successfully generate enough solar energy to satisfy global energy requirements for an entire year. – Impressive Huh!

Whilst solar does not continually generate electricity, it does generate electricity when it is needed most. Unfortunately, DC electricity is unable to be used by your average household or business, therefore we need to convert that power from Direct Current electricity into Alternating Current (AC) electricity. Whilst the sun is amazing and provides us with some benefits, it is not always out or you may run into a cloudy day where we struggle to generate power from your panels. In this case, we recommend installing a battery storage solution such as a Tesla Powerwall or an Enphase IQ Battery. Utilising a high end product like this, you will be able to store the energy that you collect during the day. With the use of one or multiple battery storage devices, you can be shining bright whilst utilising solar energy well after the sun sets, reducing your power bill even more.
